Woo Paik, president and chief technology officer of LG Electronics Inc., officially unveiled the world's first market-ready Touch Watch Phone with 3G video telephony service and GSM quadband network capabilities at the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The phone features a Flash interface, MP3 player, voice calling, text messaging and text to speech. The phone is set to go on sale in Europe sometime this year. The head of LG Electronics Inc. US operations Michael Ahn said that while this year will be tough, the consumer electronics maker has no plans to cut spending on new products, citing the need to spur innovation.
