The MTA has embarked on various projects and activities aimed at creating general tourism awareness and providing information about careers and job opportunities in hospitality, travel and tourism.

Last Wednesday, heads of schools, teachers and guidance teachers, and members of the tourism industry met at the Sacred Heart School for the official launch of a Tourism Career Awareness DVD, feauturing Ira Losco following a tourist during his seven-day stay in Malta, identifying careers in the tourism industry.

The DVD will facilitate the role of teachers in relation to the dissemination of tourism employment-related information among students.

The DVD is one of a number of new tools, which have been developed as part of the CHOICE programme, together with a new brochure, which will provide students with very useful information, such as applying for jobs, writing an accurate CV and opportunities for furthering one's education in tourism.
