The Malta Chamber of Planners has again participated in the European Council of Town Planners' Spring 2003 Assembly held at the Teatro dell'Arte in Milan, Italy.

The assembly acts as a medium where Maltese spatial planners consult with their foreign European counterparts from various member states and accession countries.

The Malta chamber was accepted as a full member of the ECTP in the Spring 2002 Assembly.

The ECTP was founded in 1985 and now has 21 member associations from most European states. Among other topics the assembly discussed the future role of the ECTP in a wider European Union with the new members who will join in 2004, including Malta.
