Trade relations between Malta and Egypt and the preparations for a trade delegation organised by Malta Enterprise were discussed by Fatima Elzahraa Etman, ambassador of Egypt in Malta, and Dennis Vella, head of the Trade Promotion Unit at Malta Enterprise.

A trade delegation consisting of Maltese businessmen will be travelling to Egypt next month to attend one to one business meetings with Egyptian importers, agents and retailers in Cairo and Alexandria.

Meetings will also be held with the Egyptian Businessmen Association and a number of government ministries.

The purpose of the meetings is to discuss the new environment Maltese businessmen will be trading in with their Egyptian counterparts following Malta's membership in the EU next May.
