Could the authorities, that is, the Sliema local council and police, take the drastic action of installing traffic lights near the Diplomat Hotel (where at present there is a zebra crossing), before a nasty and horrible accident occurs?

Unfortunately, most drivers totally ignore people and children trying to cross, especially in the evening when the place is crowded.Urgent action please!
