TRESMED participation

Emanuel Said, a member of the foi hr and Social Policy Working Group, represented the federation on the third visit of the TRESMED Project, which was entitled "The consultative role of economic and social partners".

Financed by the European Commission and organised by the Economic and Social Council of Spain, the visit was held between June 3 and 15 at the main offices of the Economic and Social Councils of France (Paris), Spain (Madrid) and Greece (Athens).

Following a working programme of meetings and debates, which put the stress on plurality and the personal contribution of participants, the project promoted the utmost importance of economic and social partners in institutional mechanisms of consultation and participation in the establishment of public socio-economic policies.

Mr Said's participation enabled the federation to obtain knowledge on the diverse social dialogue systems applied in the hosting countries and the experiences of the other participants of the project, as well as establishing important contacts in the social dialogue field.
