Trigger-happy

It is downright shameful how the Naxxar local council grabbed the opportunity to make a quick buck by placing wardens around the Trade Fair grounds, booking hundreds of car owners.

Logic tells you that out of the thousands of cars parked around the said area, some would definitely be wrongly parked. Most would have done so in good faith not knowing the area.

I know because I was one of them and had to pay dearly for such inconsiderate behaviour exercised by a local council that is supposed to have been happy that thousands of people visited the fair, making Naxxar the centre of attraction in Malta.

The last word goes to the wardens. It is quite easy to look for infringements among thousands of cars parked in one area but a heck of a problem to catch and book those who litter an island only 316 square kilometres.
