Malta International Airport buzzed with activity during the past few days handling 201,500 kgs of cargo consisting of equipment used for the film "Troy".

Two giant Antonov 124 and an Antonov 12 aircraft were chartered to carry all equipment and film props whilst a British Airways Boeing 747 carried members of the crew to Mexico, where the filming now continues.

MIA handled the operation in close collaboration with Thomas Smith & Co. Ltd, the official handling company of the film in Malta.
