It is refreshing to read Alastair Higgins's sincere letter, and the compliments about Malta and the Maltese.

Others, who visit Malta from England also on a regular basis, seem to say nice things when in Malta and want to be one of us. Then they return home and verbally massacre the place with their sarcasm.

Mr Higgins, you will always be made welcome by the Maltese. We are that kind of people.
