Tuk-tuk driver seriously injured in Gozo crash

Police say tuk-tuk overturned

A 52-year-old man was seriously injured after the tuk-tuk he was driving overturned in Xewkija on Monday afternoon.

Police said the accident happened in Triq Tal-Kanal at around 4.15pm.

Preliminary investigations found that the man, a St Paul’s Bay resident, lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn.

He was assisted by a medical team and taken to Gozo General Hospital by ambulance, where he was certified as having suffered serious injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
