A former local warden and his son were yesterday charged with assaulting and slightly injuring a warden following an argument, allegedly over the issue of a ticket.

Martin Delia, 48, and his 19-year-old son Wayne pleaded not guilty to threatening, assaulting and injuring warden Patrick Paul Attard in Gzira and causing about Lm500 damage to the detriment of Guard and Warden Service House Limited on Monday at about 5.30 p.m.

The Delias were granted bail against a Lm100 deposit and a personal guarantee of Lm1,000.

Police Inspector Stephen Gatt prosecuted.

Legal procurator Vincent Bugeja represented the Delias.
