Two 26-year-olds are under arrest after drugs were found in their car, the police said on Thursday.

The car was stopped and searched in Cospicua and the police found some 60 sachets of suspected heroin and a bag believed to contain cannabis.

The operation was conducted by the Druq Squad assisted by the Rapid Intervention Unit.

A magisterial inquiry is underway.
