Two hurt in quad bike accident

Both were thrown off the vehicle when it went out of control

A man and a woman were injured in a quad bike accident in Gozo on Monday evening.

The police said the accident happened at Triq Ta’ Sannat, in Sannat at 8.15pm.

The injured were a 43-year-old man from Estonia and a 49-year-old Filipina.

According to preliminary investigations, the man was driving the quad bike when he lost control. Both the driver and the passenger fell off the vehicle.

They were hospitalised suffering from serious injuries. An investigation is underway.
