Two Birkirkara men were yesterday charged with usury.

Amabile Borg, 50, and Victor Pace, 40, pleaded not guilty to illegally loaning money with interest on and before June 14, 2004.

Borg was also charged with the possession of ammunition at his Birkirkara home.

Police Inspector Angelo Gafá prosecuted.

Dr Chris Cardona appeared for the defendants.
