Two men were yesterday conditionally discharged for three years for regularly stealing from a Fgura shop last year.

Timothy Abela, 21, of Senglea, and Marco Borg, 26, of Birkirkara, pleaded guilty to stealing from 240, a Fgura store belonging to Five Seasons Company Limited, between May 7 and 27, 2001.

Abela alone also admitted stealing Lm500 cash from Five Seasons in Birkirkara between December 2001 and May 2002.

Magistrate Abigail Lofaro took into consideration the men's clean criminal record and noted that the stolen goods had been returned.

She also noted that Abela had not returned the Lm500 he had stolen and ordered him to pay back the money. Police Inspector Silvio Valletta prosecuted.
