Two men were yesterday given a two-year jail term suspended for four years for burgling neighbours, while a third pleaded not guilty.
Dean Martin, 21, of St Paul's Bay; Roderick Castillo, 20, of Marsa and Raymond Brincau, 18, of Marsa were arraigned by Inspectors Carlo Ellul and David Saliba.
Castillo was charged with stealing a video recorder and a satellite receiver from Joseph Cachia's Marsa flat and causing less than Lm500 damage on June 26.
Brincau was charged with aiding and abetting Castillo, stealing a video recorder and cash from Jeffrey Spiteri's house in Marsa and causing less than Lm500 damage on December 8 last year.
Martin was charged with aiding and abetting Brincau.
Castillo alone was also charged with relapsing, committing a crime during the operative term of a suspended sentence and breaching the conditions of a probation order. He pleaded guilty and was given a suspended sentence and fined Lm500.
Martin also pleaded guilty and was given a suspended sentence while Brincau pleaded not guilty.
