A Libyan and a Palestinian were yesterday put on probation for a month for being in Malta without leave from the immigration authorities.

Khaled Abolgasim Al-Moishi, 23, of Libya, and Palestinian Omar Saied, 41, pleaded guilty to the charge brought against them. They are to be deported.

Police Inspector Sandro Zarb prosecuted.

Dr Leon Bencini appeared for the defendants.
