Malta U-17 yesterday were defeated by hosts Denmark 1-0 in the European Championship Group Nine mini-tournament.

The Danes scored the all-important goal 15 minutes from time. For Mark Miller's team this was their second defeat after losing to Sweden 8-0 in their opening match.

Tomorrow, the Maltese boys play their final group match against Northern Ireland.
