A Union Haddiema Maghqudin commissioned report on the much talked about social pact is to be submitted for approval at a general conference on March 16.
The report will analyse the economic and social situation and will put forward a series of recommendations in a drive to improve the country's competitiveness and generate jobs.
The UHM general council yesterday unanimously reaffirmed its position to create a social pact, intended to kick-start the economy.
The council condemned certain remarks made during the General Workers' Union demonstration and applauded the UHM's decision not to take part in the event claiming it was a "political demonstration with ulterior motives".
In the meantime, the general council unanimously agreed to reconfirm for approval the following delegates - Gaetano Tanti for the post of president, Joseph Vella as vice-president and Gejtu Vella as general secretary.
