UK scholarships

Under the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan, the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK is inviting nominations for a number of Maltese candidates, who are interested in pursuing postgraduate studies, for scholarships tenable during the academic year commencing in October 2005.

In respect of these scholarship awards, the UK Scholarship Commission has emphasised a number of factors such as that candidates reading for a first degree are expected to hold at least an Upper Second Class Honours by October 2004.

Any application submitted without the complete documentation will not be eligible for consideration. There is no upper age limit for nominations for UK awards.

Applications for undergraduate and post-doctoral awards will not be eligible for consideration.

Further details about these scholarships may be obtained from the Customer Care Unit, Ministry of Education, Youth and Employment, Floriana.

Applications should be submitted on the appropriate forms, which can be obtained from the Customer Care Unit, or from the Education Office, Victoria, Gozo.

These applications should reach the Customer Care Unit by September 30. Selected candidates will be required to sign an undertaking to return to Malta on completion of their studies and to be available to work in Malta.
