Ultra-luxury Four Seasons yacht ends maiden voyage at Grand Harbour
Cruise tickets aboard the Four Seasons I start at over €20,000
An ultra-luxury yacht ended its maiden voyage at the Grand Harbour early on Saturday morning.
Operated by the luxury Four Seasons brand, the Four Seasons I yacht is the hospitality company’s first foray into high-end maritime leisure.
Its maiden voyage was a nine-night tour of the Mediterranean from Málaga to Valletta, calling at exclusive destinations including Saint-Tropez and Trapani.
The yacht will now pick up passengers in Valletta for its second cruise.
Tickets for cruises aboard the Four Seasons I begin at €20,900 per suite, rising from there. A seven-night tour of the Mediterranean from Dubrovnik in Croatia to Gozo this coming July will cost more than €30,000 per suite.
The yacht offers 95 luxury suites, each with ocean-view terraces and most with floor-to-ceiling windows, and 11 different restaurants. It has one staff member for every guest on board.
Tourism Minister Ian Borg announced the yacht’s arrival into Valletta in a brief social media video, describing the yacht as “one of the world’s most exclusive experiences.”
“This is a clear sign we’re becoming a luxury destination,” Borg said.
The Four Seasons I will spend the summer season sailing across the Mediterranean before refocusing on the Caribbean and Bahamas in winter, where it will stop at places like St Lucia, Martinique and Barbados.
