The University Council is currently considering new assessment criteria and procedures for promotions. UMASA, UASC and MUT have submitted amendments to these proposed assessment criteria and procedures, in a joint letter to the Rector.

UMASA is insisting that the new criteria should only be adopted after agreement has been reached with the union that represents the academic staff, as stipulated in the collective agreement currently in force.

UMASA is also insisting that a new call for promotions should be issued without any further delay, if necessary using the existing criteria and procedures.
