The unemployment rate for February was, at 4.4 per cent, at par with January, the National Statistics Office has said.

Some 11,930 people were unemployed with jobless males (6,105 versus 3,626 women) and the 25 to 74 age group (9,165) being the major contributors to the overall level of unemployment.

There were 2,766 unemployed youths.
