Unipol Services Ltd set up

The board of directors of Unipol Insurance Agency Limited recently set up Unipol Services Ltd to provide innovative products to suit the individual needs of its clients and create greater awareness among the younger generation on the importance of saving for their future financial needs.

The newly set up company offers a wide range of life assurance and unit-linked products through its sub-agency agreement with Middle Sea Valletta Life Assurance Co. Ltd.

The sub-agency agreement was signed recently by chairman Dr John C. Grech and managing director David Warrington on behalf of Unipol Services and general manager David Curmi on behalf of Middle Sea Valletta Life Assurance.

Placing an emphasis on customised products, Unipol Services benefits from the collective experience, expertise and resources of its board of directors, chaired by Dr Grech, with Mr Warrington, Robert C. Aquilina, chairman and managing director of Salvo Grima Group, Vincent Farrugia, chairman and managing director of Farrugia Textiles Ltd and Swinger by VF chain of shops, and Christopher Busuttil as company secretary.

The company also recruited Alexia Griscti to manage the operation after she successfully completed her B.Com. (Hons) degree specialising in Banking and Finance.

Dr Grech said: "Investing in a life policy is becoming increasingly important. (Since) Government needs to review its policy on pensions, providing for one`s retirement and financial needs is indeed a wise way of investing for the future."

As part of its launch and in association with VF Group of Companies, Unipol Services is offering an introductory gift voucher of a minimum of Lm20 to clients who conclude a Comprehensive Flexi-Plan Life Policy, subject to a minimum term of 20 years and a minimum premium of Lm200 per annum. The voucher may then be used at any Mexx or Swinger retail outlet.
