As a university student who doesn't drive I found the university bus system a very good idea as it took me to and from university in a reasonably short time.
However, the authorities concerned weren't content to leave a particularly good system be. A new route was devised to include Junior College students. This too seemed, at that time, to be a good idea for even Junior College students don't drive and require an inexpensive way to travel.
But this seemingly brilliant idea was instantly shattered when due to the increased number of students who started using the system, the bus turned up full quite a number of times, leaving us stranded. We obviously missed our lecture as it is quite impossible to reach university in half an hour when you are required to catch two buses to reach a destination.
Apart from that, in the very few times the bus arrived and we were able to squash in, the trip to university took around 45 minutes instead of the usual 25, as the route was unnecessarily prolonged to include the Junior College.
I am not requesting that the Junior College students be excluded from using the system... all I'm asking for is to at least dispatch two direct buses - one for the university and the other for Junior College students. In this way, all will reach their destination in a quick and inexpensive way!
