I refer to the letter Road Hazard At Tal-Qroqq (October 15).

The provision of pedestrian crossing facilities on arterial roads such as the one near Tal-Qroqq is not considered safe. It is, however, necessary to point out that university students can and should make use of the well-maintained underpasses/subways when they want to get across the university roundabout.

Regarding waiting time at the bus stop, allow me to remind readers, in particular university students, that most of the new direct routes and other routes, which include numbers 110, 300, 350, 800, 810, 890, 449, 627, 169, 41, 42, 58, 667 and 69 operate through Tal-Qroqq ensuring that there is a constant flow of buses through the area.

For the benefit of the correspondent, bus number 145 departs from Valletta or Cirkewwa on the hour and bus number 58 departs Valletta every half hour.
