The access road to university coming from Valletta has been temporarily closed following an "incident" last night, the Malta Transport Authority said.

The authority gave no further details but said proper signage had already been erected and access to university from Valletta is through the old gate in Triq il-Punent until further notice.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution.
