These are available in various formats: face-to-face, online (synchronous), self-paced, and modular, to suit different lifestyles, including those of shift workers.
New initiatives and achievements
Last year, over 7,000 learners enrolled in DLE courses. This year, the Directorate is expanding its reach with:
- Flexible learning pathways for adults at risk of exclusion
- Community-based programmes in collaboration with local councils and NGOs
- Accredited qualifications aligned with the Malta Qualifications Framework (MQF)
- Self-paced courses via the Learning Box platform, allowing learners to study anytime, anywhere
These initiatives are already contributing to national goals, including increased adult participation in education and reduced risk of poverty and social exclusion.
