Unmanned zero-emission recovery technology
Burmarrad Group named exclusive representative for First-Mover vehicle recovery solution in Malta
Burmarrad Group has been named as Malta’s exclusive representative for the First-Mover vehicle recovery platform, bringing unmanned zero-emission recovery technology delivering safety and efficiency for emergency services, parking operators, towing companies, ferry operators, and industry.
First-Mover, developed by Danish engineering firm BS Engineering ApS, is a remote controlled electric crawler platform built to handle vehicle recovery in challenging and high-risk environments. Whether it's retrieving crashed cars on busy tight roads, managing incidents in underground parking garages, or dealing with burning vehicles during firefighting operations, the First-Mover R-3500 is engineered to perform reliably and safely. This is especially ideal for fire fighters who will be able to handle a burning vehicle without putting themselves at risk.
Key features include a short-circuit proof design, the ability to load burning vehicles, a 3,500 kg lifting capacity, and operation times of four to five hours on a single charge; all with zero emissions. Its compact profile and maneuverability make it especially suited to Malta's dense urban areas, complex infrastructure and the various car park structures that are now present on the island.
"We're proud to bring First-Mover to Malta," said Sharon Gauci, Group CEO at Burmarrad Group. "As urbanisation grows and electric vehicles become more common, there is an increasing need for safe, sustainable, and modern recovery solutions. First-Mover meets these demands and will support local emergency services and various private operators in delivering safer and more efficient operations."
This agreement underscores Burmarrad Group's commitment to introducing high quality international solutions to Malta, with a focus on improving safety, sustainability, and operational effectiveness across multiple sectors.
