Some 29,000 voting documents for the general election remained undelivered by Saturday evening, when distribution ended, a spokesman for the Electoral Commission told timesofmalta.com. At the last general election, 15,611 voting documents were undelivered by police officers.

The Commission in a statement earlier today said that eligible voters who have not yet received their voting document for the general election and the local councils elections (where applicable) may call personally at their local police station to collect their voting document by showing their identity card as follows:

From Wednesday 27th February to Saturday 1st March: between 9.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. and; between 3.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m. and on Sunday 2nd March between 8.00 a.m. and noon.

In St Paul’s Bay voting documents shall be collected from the Qawra Police Station, while in Iklin, Lija, Marsascala, Mellieha, Pembroke, Swieqi, Ta’ Xbiex and Fontana, voting documents may be collected from the Local Council offices. All applicants must show their identity card.

No one can vote without a voting document.
