A woman was injured last night in a head-on crash with a detention van.

The incident happened on the Hal Far Road.

The woman had to be extracted from the mangled front-part of her Fiat Punto by rescuers of the Civil Protection Department and the police.

She was rushed to hospital in an ambulance for treatment.
