Maltapost has received a number of enquiries and complaints about additional fees being levied on air parcels coming from the United States Postal Service (USPS) and delivered in Malta.

Maltapost said that since December 3, 2001, the United States Postal Service had contracted the delivery of all its European bound air parcels to agents outside the postal network.

"In some instances customers have been asked to pay additional charges on delivery of their parcels in Malta. Maltapost is not involved in any way with the delivery of these parcels nor the additional fees being charged," it said in a statement.
