Fourteen employees from Malta Drydocks, Malta Shipbuilding and Manoel Island Yachtyard are going to the US to be trained in superyacht work.

The 14 are the first group to undergo training at the hands of leading superyacht company Palmer Johnson, which has joined up with the 'yard to develop Dock No. 3 for superyacht refurbishment and repair.

The workers, who have different skills and come from different grades, are the first of around 40 expected to undergo training, which is expected to last around four weeks.
