Valletta striker Federico Falcone has received a two-match ban following his sending-off in yesterday’s two-all draw against Mosta.

Falcone was shown a straight red card by referee Trustin Farrugia Cann for hitting Mosta midfielder Ice Cream Guobadia after the latter had fouled the Argentinian striker late in the first half.

Three other Premier League players were given a one-match ban for four yellow cards. These are Naxxar Lions midfielder Mandinho, Zoran Levnaic, the Pembroke Athleta defender and Sliema Wanderers midfielder Mark Scerri.

Floriana president Riccardo Gaucci and club official Peter Agius were given a one-match touchline ban after both were dismissed in the 2-1 win over Pembroke last Saturday.

Cedric Sciberras, the Pembroke Athleta physio, was also banned for one match after being involved in a verbal exchange with Gaucci.
