The Toyota Lite ace van which crashed into the sea near the Customs House in Valletta yesterday evening has been pulled ashore. Is is currently being inspected by the authorities.

When the accident happened yesterday, two policemen from the Valletta station jumped into the cold sea to check whether there was anyone in the vehicle. But since darkness made that impossible, AFM divers were called in with their rescue boat.

The van had been reported stolen from Pietà.
