Verdi's opera at Gozo cultural festival

Cittadella - Gozo for Arts and Culture, a cultural festival being organised by the Socjetá Filarmonika Leone at its Aurora Opera House in Victoria, will be held between Saturday and October 23. The highlight of this annual festival is Verdi's Nabucco.

Cittadella - Gozo for Arts and Culture, a cultural festival being organised by the Socjetá Filarmonika Leone at its Aurora Opera House in Victoria, will be held between Saturday and October 23.

The highlight of this annual festival is Verdi's Nabucco. The cast is composed of Italian, Maltese and Gozitan singers under the musical direction of Colin Attard. The cultural programme also includes a concert of music from the archives of the Gozo cathedral, a jazz night and a traditional Gozitan night featuring Maltese music and culinary traditions.

Bank of Valletta is sponsoring Cittadella - Gozo for Arts and Culture and the sponsorship was presented by Jack Thewma, manager of Bank of Valletta's Gozo branch in Victoria to Mario Gatt, secretary of the Leone Philharmonic Society and Festival Co-ordinator.
