Violent incidents on policemen were still being carried out in an alarming way and had become more frequent, the Malta Police Association said.
In a statement, it asked why amendments moved in Parliament last year had still not been implemented and it seemed that no action was being taken.
Policemen, the MPA siad, were being demotivated because they were feeling unprotected.
The MPA published the table below which indicates the number of reports of violence against police and public officers.
