The Malta Volleyball Association are organising a "volleyfest" to help the Cystic Fibrosis Trust in their work to find a cure for this life-threatening condition.
Cystic fibrosis attacks the lungs and pancreas, leaving patients with a life span of only 31 years.
Volley 4 CF will try to raise as much money as possible for Josette Falzon, who will be running the half marathon next February to collect funds for the same cause, which is to help children like her daughter Francesca who have been hit by the disease.
The "volleyfest" will be held next Tuesday at the Cottonera Sports Complex starting at 11 a.m.
The programme will include two U/16 matches in the morning, a mini volleyball festival for young athletes and two senior matches, one male and one female, featuring the best players on the island alongside some ex-players.
All the players taking part, as well as all those attending during the day, will be asked for a donation.
