A year of hard work and study has come to a pleasant end with an exhibition featuring a selection of the best works by Art and Design Institute students.

Giving everyday items and gestures a modern and contemporary twist, some may deem the works somewhat wacky but everyone is bound to appreciate the creativity behind them. Now in its ninth edition, the exhibition is organised by the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology in a bid to expose the hard work put in by students during the scholastic year.

Although this is just the tip of the iceberg of the works created throughout the past scholastic year, the exhibition is the largest ever, with well over 100 students taking part. It also coincides with the introduction of additional courses at the institute, so much so that the exhibition does not only include fine arts but also graphic design and interactive media.

The institute provides students of all levels with a range of skills to boost their creativity and approach through research, observation, creation and development. As from this year, it will also offer Bachelor of Arts courses in fine arts and media.

The exhibition is being held at St James Cavalier, Castille Place, Valletta and will run until Sunday. Opening hours are between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
