Wain and Mayo launch books

The Faculty of Education is launching two books by members of its academic staff on Thursday at 6.30 p.m. at Robert Sammut Hall, Floriana (opposite Sarria church). The first book is by Professor Kenneth Wain - The Learning Society in a Postmodern World.

The Faculty of Education is launching two books by members of its academic staff on Thursday at 6.30 p.m. at Robert Sammut Hall, Floriana (opposite Sarria church). The first book is by Professor Kenneth Wain - The Learning Society in a Postmodern World. The second is by Professor Peter Mayo - Liberating Praxis. Paulo Freire's Legacy for Radical Education and Politics.

Dr Ivan Callus will provide a brief presentation on Professor Wain's book while Dr Gloria Lauri Lucente will do likewise with respect to Professor Mayo's book.

There will be also a short presentation on the development of the online journal, the Journal of Maltese Education Research (JMER), by the editor Dr Carmel Borg, Dean of Faculty of Education.
