Walk for the environment

The junior school at the Convent of the Sacred Heart will be holding a walk to raise awareness on the importance of caring for the environment.

Through the walk, which is being held tomorrow at noon from the school to Independence Garden, Sliema the school is participating in the Comenius Project along with schools in Italy, Greece, Romania and Ireland.

Participating schools in Malta and the other four countries will all walk on the same day.

A short ceremony will take place at the Independence Garden where students will read short poems and essays about the environment and sing songs about trees, birds and nature.
