As a frequent visitor to Malta, I feel able to engage in this debate: I find it is absurd that the vast amount of water resources required to service one golf course, never mind two, seems to be dismissed out of hand.

Who will benefit from such a scheme? Only the developers, in my opinion.

How many players can use a golf course at a time? I suggest that many more team game players such as rugby or football players would be able to use the same space for far lower costs. This would greatly benefit more people in health terms for less cost.

Such a waste of the finite land supply in laying a golf course seems to be verging on the ridiculous.
