The first behind-the-scenes footage to promote the upcoming film By the Sea, starring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were released this afternoon. 

The film, written by Jolie, and expected to be released next month, was shot last year in Gozo. The three-month shoot was mainly centred around Mgarr ix-Xini.

The film is set in France during the mid-1970s, when Vanessa, a former dancer, and her husband Roland, an American writer, travel the country together. They seem to be growing apart, but when they linger in one quiet, seaside town they begin to draw close to some of its more vibrant inhabitants, such as a local bar/café-keeper and a hotel owner.
