An Australian Rules football umpire stole the show during a match in Melbourne when he got down and did a worm dance to signal a goal scored.

Umpire David Rodan turned on the style and jazzed up a goal signal routine that ended with the traditional double-armed pump during an All-Star match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Rodan, a former AFL star who also won the Australian version of TV show Dancing With the Stars in 2014, showed the crowd he hasn't lost his taste for the limelight with the footloose performance.

The worm is a dance move often associated with breakdancers and funk subculture.
