Maltese tenor Joseph Calleja wooed BBC morning show presenters and millions of viewers with his vocal acrobatics over the weekend.
Until tomorrow, Calleja is portraying Cavaradossi in Tosca, one of Puccini's most beloved operas, at the Royal Opera House in London.
As Tosca's (Adrianne Pieczonka) doomed lover, he reprises a role he’s sung in the past to great critical acclaim.
"Singing opera is like a sport because your whole body is the instrument," Calleja explained before providing an impeccable rendition from Puccini and Verdi.
"I'm just a little bit in love," presenter Naga Munchetty said after his impromptu performance.
Calleja was also a guest on the Andrew Marr Show.
His next touring dates include performances in Germany and Denmark.
