Asked to state what was the purpose of a joint venture, which according to financial services firm Nexia BT Dr Mizzi was opening up with the Prime Minister’s chief of staff Keith Schembri, Dr Mizzi refused to reply.
“As I told you, I’ve exhausted all questions on Panama and there is no joint venture with Mr Schembri.”
He gave the same stock reply when asked to comment how, a year since he was caught opening a secret company in Panama, he continues to sit in cabinet as a government minister.

Asked on how he intended to populate a bank account associated with his Panama Company with €1 million a year – as stated in writing by his financial brokers Nexia BT - Dr Mizzi once again refused to reply.
In an email sent to open bank accounts across the globe, Karl Cini from Nexia BT gave details of a joint venture between Keith Schembri and Konrad Mizzi to trade in waste recycling through their Panama companies.
When Pana Committee MEPs asked Dr Mizzi about this joint venture, the minister said that Nexia BT must have confused him with Keith Schembri.
