It was a lucky escape on Tuesday for the driver of a van that caught fire in Triq il-Mina l-Kbira, Vittoriosa.

The van caught fire as it was being driven just after 10am.

The driver managed to get out unharmed and the fire was put out by members of the Civil Protection Department.
