Watch: How a wrongly disposed cigarette butt destroyed Swieqi bins

The fire spread quickly

GreenPak has issued footage showing a man throwing a cigarette butt into a bin for paper, setting a number of bins on Madliena Road, Swieqi, on fire.

The man appeared to have tried to extinguish the cigarette butt before throwing it into the bin on May 7.

The cooperative asked for anyone having information to contact the police, who are investigating.
