Well done, Lawrence Gray!

Last weekend I attended a performance of Beyond the Barricade at the Manoel Theatre. The English artists were past principal performers of Les Miserables at the West End. They were all very good and the concert was truly enjoyable.

However in my opinion the star of the show was definitely our own Lawrence Gray. He gave an impeccable performance of the 'Gethsemane' song from Jesus Christ Superstar. This is a really difficult song and many singers do not even dare to sing it as it finishes on two very high notes.

Lawrence's interpretation was certainly outstanding and the vibrations of his beautiful voice sent shivers down my spine. He certainly deserved the thundering applause and shouts of "bravo, bravo" from all round the theatre.

Well done, Lawrence! We Maltese should be proud to have such an exceptional and unique artist like you!
