What 'hunters'?

The news item about the two shot flamingos makes me absolutely sick. Not only were two flamingos shot with environment inspectors from Mepa right there in Marsaxlokk Bay, the two others resting in Malta had already been shot earlier in the morning.

It is completely laughable that the individuals doing the shooting could consider themselves hunters; there is absolutely no skill involved in shooting majestic birds that were basically "sitting ducks". Have these people no shame at all?

If anyone on Malta fraternises with such individuals they should be considered guilty by association. These "hunters" should be rebuked and chastised by all. They should also be pursued and punished severely by law enforcement.
